Hear local musicians, see Georgia artists, and explore Emory Village as part of the Druid Hills Tour of Homes and Gardens, April 21-April 23.
One of the longest running and premiere tour of homes in the nation, the 2017 Druid Hills Tour of Homes & Gardens and Makers Market celebrates its 49th year with six homes and one garden, featuring the work of master renovators and landscape designers.
Events in the Village will include:
FRIDAY, APRIL 21
5:30-7:30 pm: Listen to the smooth sounds of local resident Michael Hoskins on saxophone and veteran Atlanta musicians playing a variety of classic jazz standards.
SATURDAY, APRIL 22
10 am to 5 pm: The Makers Market in the Slice & Pint parking lot will feature artwork, jewelry, clothing, furniture, handmade items, baked goods, and sculpture by Atlanta artists.
5- 10 pm: Live music in the Slice & Pint parking lot will kick off with the Druid Hills Youth Showcase. Later welcome Bradley Cole Smith, the leader of Doublewide, mixing original music with crow-pleasing covers ranging from Van Morriso and the Stones to Elvis and Three Dog Night.
SUNDAY APRIL 23:
8-10 am: Patch Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk and Tot Trot, Emory Village Plaza. 5K run/walk begins and ends in Emory Village. The Tot Trot is for kids 5 and under. All proceeds benefit childhood cancer research. T-shirts and goodie bags given to participants. Register online or onsite beginning at 6:45 am.
