Johnson and Mark Herold, both residents of Druid Hills,  were recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the all-volunteer Emory Village Alliance.

Other new members include Alex Jones, owner of Keba restaurant; Priscilla Velasquez, manager of the Emory Barnes and Noble;, and Jean Welsh who will represent both the neighborhood and Emory.

The Emory Village Alliance (founded as the Alliance to Improve Emory Village) is a small, all-volunteer, nonprofit community organization with one goal: to continue revitalizing the historic, commercial heart of Druid Hills in Emory Village. The alliance of various stakeholders includes local neighbors, Emory Village businesses and property owners, and representatives from Emory University.
