Music will fill the air at the Fifth Annual Open Streets beginning at 2:30 when the Gathering at Glenn Band brings its sound to the Emory Village Plaza.
The Journeymanz Band takes over at 3:25. Journeymanz hails from Hotlanta, Georgia. The members began playing together in 2015 and have performed at Emory Village for Open Streets 2016, Saba’s restaurant, Druid Hills schools and neighborhood events. Members are Cate Moore on drums, vocals and bass and guitar, Evan Paul Smith, vocals, guitar and drums. Brandon Sherrill, guitar and vocals. Journeymanz members awards include Georgia All State band, “Music Student of the Year” and other accolades and recognition.
At 5 p.m., Rockit88, an 8-piece progressive rock band with a 3-piece horn section, will play a wide range of classic rock, funk, Motown, and original songs celebrating life, love and environmental awareness.
