Walk with an Architect: A Conversation About Historic Preservation – 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22; Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24. Meet and end at the Emory Village Plaza fountain.

This log cabin predates Olmstead’s
plan for the neighborhood.

With neighborhood architect Cynthia Tauxe as your guide, you’ll head north on N. Oxford Rd following an old trolley route then pause on the N. Oxford Road bridge to contemplate the kudzu. Next, you will head south on the stub end of Emory Road to N. Decatur Road, completing the trip around the block by going through the Lullwater roundabout.
