Support Emory Village
While 2020 was challenging, Emory Village Alliance accomplished a lot: new lights in the roundabout, a socially-distanced Open Streets Emory Village, colorful banners to create more of a sense of place, volunteer work days to clean-up the public spaces, and, working with DeKalb County, new pedestrian lights and signs on North Decatur Road in front of CVS.
It’s all made possible by the energetic volunteers and generous supporters of the Emory Village Alliance.
Our work is year around. For almost two decades, the all-volunteer Emory Village Alliance—a partnership of neighbors, businesses, and Emory University—has been dedicated to making Emory Village a safer, more walkable, economically viable, and welcoming community gathering place.
Our vision includes more streetscape improvements such as sidewalk widening in from to the shops on the block of Oxford north of the roundabout. We are working with DeKalb County to expedite sidewalk repairs at the roundabout and at the CVS crossing on North Decatur Road. And we are looking forward to staging the ninth annual Open Streets Emory Village in 2021–hopefully in person next October.
