DHCA Plans Village Clean-up

The Druid Hills Civic Association is calling for volunteers to help clean up Emory Village Oct. 2 from 9 am. to 11 a.m. as part of DHCA’s October Community Service Day. There’s lots to do: signs are obstructed by trees or are dirty, weeds are choking beds, and trash needs to be picked up.

Volunteers will meet in the Emory Village Plaza near the fountain. Organizers suggest that volunteers park in legal spaces to avoid booting or other fees.

The first 30 volunteers will receive a special DHCA Volunteer Brigade t-shirt. Sign up here.

Spring Cleaning in the Village

A beautiful day in May welcomed eager hands and new and long-time neighbors who converged upon the Village to spruce up public spaces.

Volunteers yanked weeds, pruned, edged and dug as part of a service day sponsored by the Druid Hill Civic Association in partnership with the Emory Village Alliance.

“The results,” said Todd Hill, EVA chair, “were fantastic! We have the best looking roundabout and streetscape in Druid Hills and beyond.”
